1 February 1990, Foundation of Nicromet by Edward Wyciślok. Initially, the core area of activity covered purchase and trade in steel alloys.

Start-up of the first plant
in BestwinkaThe first plant is located in Bestwinka, near Czechowice-Dziedzice. The manufacturing covers aluminium alloys in the form of three-notched ingots.

Start of production
of molten aluminiumThe first crucible with liquid aluminium alloy leave the plant to the former Teksid plant – currently Nemak Poland.

1999
The second manufacturing site
in OświęcimStart of aluminium production in Oświęcim. Nicromet implements an ISO 9002 Quality Management System and starts cooperation
with Volkswagen Poznań. -
2003
Opening of the third
manufacturing siteThe third plant is established in Skawina. Nicromet implements an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

The first rotary furnace
The first tilting rotary furnace in Poland is started up in Skawina. This improves the manufacturing process by higher aluminium recovery from melting drosses.

Quality Management
System improvementNicromet obtains an ISO/TS 16949:2002 certificate. The Company meets strict requirements of automotive customers.

Upgrading the factories
in Bestwinka and SkawinaThe Bestwinka plant acquires a plasma cutter and ELDAN line used for copper cable processing. Start-up of a holding furnace with induction pumps in Skawina.

Overhaul of
the Oświęcim plantGeneral overhaul of the furnace unit and adding a complete weight measurement system in the Oświęcim plant. Upgrading the laboratories in Bestwinka and Skawina.

Induction furnace
Start-up of the PIT 6000 induction furnace for efficient processing
of thin-wall aluminium components, e.g. chips. -
2011
Upgrade
the Bestwinka plantComplete modernization of the oldest site and start-up of the Idex line in Skawina. PPZ Nicromet Edward Wyciślok is transformed into Nicromet Spółka z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością S.K.A.

Nicromet Spółka z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością S.K.A. is transformed into Nicromet Spółka z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością Sp.K.

Establishment of an R&D Department
Commissioning of the workshop hall with a truck wash in Oswięcim plant and the establishment of Research and Development Department. The beginning of deliveries of liquid aluminum to Volkswagen Poznań.

Subsequent capital expenditures
in OświęcimStart-up of a state-of-the-art production hall that will triple production capacity of this plant.
